I feel really happy today : )

Being Class Chairman wasn’t that hell of a task , I love workin` with my pals and we’re always coming up with crazy outings and stuff like that . Hoo !

Anyway ….

My bestest buddies , Ivan , Ernesto , Questie , Daryl and I went to Fort Canning for our photoshoot yesterday . It was my first photoshoot and it’s really a joyous experience . Gotta let you guys see the shots tomorrow ! Heehe

This week’s a pretty stressful week . It’s hell . Me and my pals stayed back till 7.30 to rush our assignments and apparently , nothing could be finished and we left when the air-conditioner just shut down . Entertained everyone and kept their mood alive , it’s late and everyone’s tired and grumpy so I just did what I could : )

My matey Boon even said ” thank God you’re in our class , if not no fun at all . “

One of my classmates Patricia Bastos who’s a Brazillian taught me her language and it was a super funny lesson I tell ya .

Went dinner with everyone and trained home with Patty ( pronounced Pachi ) . It was really interesting chatting with her and talking about soccer and shit . Weehee !

Phew .

I just completed my pile of seemingly never-ending homework . God , it’s only my second week of school , yet it’s worse than Goh ” Terminator” Layna’s class , ten times crazier than Secondary School Art Class and a hell lot worser than Ping Yi ” Best School in Singapore ” Sec .

It’s tiring , stressful and it drives me over the edge . But I seek the thrill , and I love the pressure . It’s a competitive circuit of designers and you are always driven and motivated to do better than anyone else . The work piles up to a million storeys high , but if you’ve the heart and determination , nothing can stop you .

Anyway , a lil more about happy stuff . :}}}

I was elected class chairman by my class , weehee : ]]

But I felt someone with much more experience and knowledge should deserve the position and I gave my position to my dear friend L utfiah : )

I became the asst.Class rep instead . I’m in charge of doing stuff like uniting the class , organising outings and stuff etc . Basically , I’m the fun guy and I’m supposed to spread the joy . Weehee !

I have this scary confession to make .

I was once an avid lover of Deal Or No Deal and my favouritest favouritest favouritest contestant is … L utfiah . And , on the first day of school , when I saw her , my jaw dropped to the floor / ground / whatever . I would argue with my friends while watching Deal Or No Deal and I’d always say ” I love L utfiah ! ” that kinda shit yknow ? Like how Lubna’s crazy over that Tom guy ( who looks fucking like Hermione ) . And when I watched The Showdown , my heart’d melt whenever she appears . Yknow ! That kinda silly on-screen crushes .

AND THEN.

AND FUCKING THEN .

SHE BECAME MY CLASSMATE.

It’s like loving and going oo-ga-ga over Jade Seah and the next day , she ends up being your classmate .

This is crazy . Really .

We became good friends of course , heheeee ! I’m too ashamed to let her know about my previous on-screen crush on her and I think it’d be better to keep it under wraps ; – ) We’re buddies now and I think , that’s enough for me .

First day of school !

Every shaking cell in my body is bursting with excitement as I type out this post .

I’m happy . Elated . But I’m as tired as hell . First day of school , Orientation Day was a killer . It starts at 9am odd and ended at somewhere around 5pm .

I am dying from the fatigue . I’m tired . I need sleep . But I’m too happy to do so .

Okay so last night I didn’t get much sleep . Forced myself to sleep after two / three hours . Yet I kept waking up in the middle of the night to pee .

What’s wrong with me ? I think I woke up like around 3 / 4 times to piss . And when I returned to bed , I can’t sleep . For real .

I am a strange kid : /

ANYWAY ANYWAY.

Dad fetched me to school . Woosh !

The campus’ a beauty . Walking into the building makes me feel so at home , there’s like a billion people present , loud thumping music irritating the shit out of the old peeps , colourful arty decorations and ahhh , it’s just the atmosphere man . It’s incredible .

Yea so registered and walked into the hall where there’s like an incredible number of students . I feel so shy . Sat with some random stranger and listened to the talks .

Great . The stupid talk lasted for two fucking hours .

To be honest , the orientation was pretty bad . There weren’t any icebreaker activities and all we did was just sit on our numbing arses listening to talks while half-asleep . Everything that goes in , goes out . Take a chill pill man , it’s ORIENTATION . We’re supposed to do shit like sit in a circle and get to know each other and stuff , and bonding over a game or two .

But no .

Instead , we’re made to suffer the pains of sitting on your numbed ass for more than two hours and watch this bespectacled old man read out some poetry shit and the sad thing is you don’t even get to see his face ( Fuck , I was sitting right in front of a huge bigass pillar , everythin’s blocked out ) .

Anyway the only refreshing thing that happened in the cold , cruel morning was the presence of one of our lecturers . This guy ain’t no stranger meranger , he’s the chinese dude in the Singtel TV ads . Yknow the ones where three guys with nothin better to do entertain their Angmoh boss with a series of really crappy ideas like ” The first plant that can …. TALK BACK ! ” and go ” Ooh ooh ! Ooh Ooh ! ” . And the Angmoh boss goes ” I LOVE IT ! ” , and his layer of double chin fats tremble as he speaks .

Yes . The Chinese guy in the ad , is one of our lecturers .

COOL RIGHT ?

Anyway the campus tour was another misfortune . The guy in charge was a terrible terrible host . And we were walking in circles and squares and to be honest , I really wanted to run back home at that point of time . Made friends with my tour group , but most of them were above 20 . So yeahh , pretty hard to click .

But still , I made an effort to socialise . Turned out pretty well , but everyone were so shy-shy .

Went lunch with Daryl and his group of friends . His friends were all girls and yknow , of course have to give them a lil …. introduction right ? Haha . They were pretty cool , real nice and stuff and we all got on along just fine . When I dropped my tissue , they just laughed and laughed like crazy . I have no idea why . : )

Bought lunch back and Daryl introduced me to his other clique of friends who were seniors and one of em’s a lecturer . They brought back a plateful of eclairs and I mercilessly devoured them all . I was too too fucking hungry , I was so so hot that when I drank a cup of milo , it felt like heaven . The weather was a serious bitch . So hot . My armpits were sweating and my nips didn’t feel good and my entire body was sticky and sour and salty and yummm … ; )

Went back after lunch . Endured another two hours of talk . Fuck .

And the real shit happened when we went back to our classes . My class had the best lecturer , we had the dean ! She’s an angmoh lady and she’s really caring and stuff , but there was a slight communication breakdown . Her Scottish jokes didn’t exactly work , she’d tell a joke and laugh at herself while the other Chinese dudes just scratched their heads and went ” Wot the fock she talk ? “.

My class was a diverse mix of multi-racialism . There’s caucasians , Omans , Indians etc . You name it , we’ve got it . The best thing was having your form-teacher as a dean . She’s really intelligent , she knows the way we work and she’s really a professional . I respect her and I can’t wait to work with her . I hope she won’t be like Ms Goh ” The Predictor ” Layna . Heehee : }

YAH BTW . My school’s a really really interesting and lovely place to be in . It’s vibrant , it has this really great atmosphere and the girls are fucking fucking fucking smoking hot . You’d look around and there’d be like really well-dressed girls walking in shiny stilettos , girls with wild mohawks or even models . THIS IS HEAVEN BABY !

But nehh , I’m not there for the girls man . I’m there to study .

YAH YAH . Bumped into my buddy Teddy and amongst other friends , my dear friend Kelyn couldn’t find me the whole day and I was tryin hard to find her too , but there’s just too many many people around . And when I’m having my class meeting , she walked past with her class and just gave me a really happy wave and I gave her a really retarded happy smile .

Great friends man .

After the whole thing was over , I hurried off and trained back to Simei . Lepak-ed with Gary and dashed home for my precious sleep .

School officially starts next Monday . Wee : )

I’m feeling the heat right now .

School orientation starts tomorrow and I’m feeling all jittery and nervous/anxious . I have a bundle of questions racing through the back of my mind . How will my future schoolmates look like ? Will my lecturers be like Ms Goh ” The Terminator ” Layna ? Are the girls gonna be smokin` hot like hot potatoes ?

Ahh , life is like ” Who wants to be a millionaire ” . You’ll never know the answer to everything .

I’m shaking with excitement and disbelief that after all these time , I’m actually in an art-oriented institute that caters to every of my arty needs . I admit , I’ve never had a penchant for chemistry , mathematics or even Biology . Ever since I was a tot , and before I learned to walk , I’ve already been scribbling shit with my powerful crayon on all four corners of my tiny lil baby room .

And when I was four , I was already drawing comics which my mum would keep and print for all her friends to see .

My mum didn’t tell me . It was until I was a tad older and my mum’s friends would come up to me and ask me to draw more comic strips for em’ .

During my primary school days , I would always blast all my daily allowance on notepads that I could scribble on . Me and my best friend Anthony would draw up monsters and our ” monsters ” would “challenge” each other . Those were the kiddy and adolescent days .

I miss my Maha Bodhi days . Alot . :” (

Anyway .

And finally . A new phase of my wonderful life’s about to begin . New friends with minds-alike , a whole new adventure and a brand new start . It’s like having your first kiss ( and maybe other important first times ) . You’re nervous , you’re confused and you dunno what to do . But at the same time , you know it’s gonna so damn shiok .

I dunno how this analogy’s gonna imply , but whatever lorrrhh ! Haha . Hope you get my drift ; )

I’m bouncing up and down with excitement now ( actually I’m tired and I’m half-asleep ) and I doubt I’m gonna catch a wink tonight . And orientation’s gonna start at 10am ! The horror ! Siao arrr , I bet I’d wake up all groggy in the morning and march like a zombie all the way to school .

I’m so so excitedd ! Arrrrr !

Hopefully I’ll get a few snapshots of my beauty school tomorrow . And I can’t wait to meet up with my pals , who have been very excited about tomorrow’s big event .

POOSH !

It’s been another one of those gggreat weeks . All these late late nights and the company of great friends . Fucking broke ( severe wallet cancer ) , fucking tired , but fucking happy : )))))

Yeahh anyway , we had a movie outing on Saturday . Batman !

All these hype surrounding the film - the untimely death of Heath Ledger and his phenomenal protrayal of The Joker , it’d be an utter shame not to catch the movie . I’ve watched the trailers on YouTube and I am completely blown away by Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker . I’ve sworn from then on that if I do not catch the movie in cinemas this week , I’d plunge my head into the toilet bowl and drown myself to death in a sea of dung .

Anyway ,

Met up with the guys and trained to VivoCity . Bumped into S there and old memories came flooding back , haha . She’s still the same ol’ sweetepie : }

We bought tix to the 6pm show , hooray ! But despite being super early birds , all the timeslots for the shows leading up to the 9pm show have all been sold out , and we could only have the front row . Front roww ! Eyes pain ! : ” ((

Fortunately , we just went ahead with it . Diehard Batman fans yknow ! Nuthin’ll stop us . Wee !

While waitin` for the show , we chilled , slacked and had an unfortunate sighting of the ever popular Mr Chua Tock Hai . We were just a couple of tables away from him and we kept spying on him but he didn’t see us at all : o

Anyway , the movie was brilliant .

The plot was genius , the actors were genuinely stunning ( except Maggie Gylenhaal and her seemingly distracting droopy sleepy eyes ) and the action scenes left me on the edge of my seat . Overall , a great great film I won’t mind watching again .

My favourite character was of course , Natasha the Russian chick The Joker ! He’s a sick , twisted , psychotic bastard who kills for thrills and that is why I love him to bits . I think he deserves to feature in a more prominent role , and I wished he’d tell more jokes . The director made him out to be a crazy laughing maniac who really , does nothing else but laughs all day and is really really long-winded ( before slicing his victims up , he’d tell them his story which is very very very very fucking loongggg ) and he’s a Joker that doesn’t joke that much .

Bring on the jokes , cut out the silly long-winded dialogues and I’d love him even more !

All of us enjoyed the movie very much and up till now , I still have ocassional dreams of The Joker in his super chio purple suit and his laughter and of course , his trademark line ” Why so serious ? ” . Batman ain’t that bad either larr . He sounds really horny with his deep macho voice and as if he’s out of breath or something but really , that’s a really great voice to go along with his character .

Hallo ! Guten tag !

German’s pretty interesting , and it’s so sexy the way the German women speak their national language . My cousin , surprisingly at only age 13 can speak really good German . And during our family dinner last night , she fluently rattled off a few well-polished German sentences which literally put me to shame .

I love Germany , I love Oliver Kahn and Per Mertesacker , the beautiful city of Berlin but I speako no Germano .

Yah , anyway back to biznesso .

Celebrated my brutha Chicky’s birthday over the weekend . It was a really happy occasion , with the company of good friends and good food . Urrrhmmmm . Met up with Delson first and waited for the super late queens Julie and Aida Malangkujap . They are super punctual , came 30 minutes late and spent a grand 15 minutes in the toilet dolling up .

I am one sad , sad guy .

Yah anyway , we were joined by Alvin and his sweetheart Judy Mary ( dunno why I called her that , lol ) . Hopped over to the BBQ pit at Pasir Ris park , and I got all jiggly and excited when I saw my pals and the buvday boy Chicky .

We’ve both celebrated our birthdays thrice together and of course , there’d be a zillion more great birthday bashes to come .

We all chilled and slacked with our guitars to entertain the guests , the atmosphere was cozy and I at times was in a half-asleep mode . The beach waves , the chill of the night and the dizzy fire lights . Aaahhh , the bliss of life .

I was nursing a pretty bad cold and a slight fever so I was pretty much a zombie boy . But of course , I kept my mood alive : ))

‘ Somewhere over the rainbow , skies are blue , and the dreams that you dare to dream really come true . ‘

For once , let’s talk about plans .

I used to lead a very comfortable life .

I had everything given to me on a silver platter without working hard for it . Everything was fed to me on a silver spoon whereas I just sat back , watched the clouds fly by and watch my life sink into oblivion without ever trying to do a thing to save it from falling .

I was a completely useless fool who thought I could just inherit my mother’s business , sit back , relax , shake leg and watch money fall from above . I was a hapless loser who had no plans in life , no inspirations or whatsoever , and I was a miserable nut who wasted everything he had .

I was . A failure .

I’ve let down many people in my life . My mother spent thousands and thousands of hard-earned cash on my Math tuition fees just so I could pass the most important exam in my life , and for once , pass my mathematics . The objective was clear and simple ; pass math and get into a polytechnic of my choice .

And what happened ?

I flunk my O’s terribly ( I got a 20 ) and I failed my math ( something I’d regret my whole life ) . I almost gave up on everything then . I thought I was gonna live a shitty life of a miserable pauper in the back alleys of Geylang and seek free daily meals from Buddhist temples .

But I didn’t want that .

I ironed up , I held my head up high ( not very high lah ) and was determined to make a serious “comeback” . And one day , a light came shining through my window .

Temasek Polytechnic saw something in me and offered me an interview for a 13-point course ( Apparel Design and Merchandising ) . I worked hell and hell for that opportunity of a LIFETIME and when everything was supposed to turn out well , it failed at the end . And I was shattered . My confidence spiralled down and I had no other paths to choose .

I didn’t lose myself from that fall . Instead , I cleaned my wound , applied plaster and continued running .

I’ve never looked back ever since .

And now , I’m in an elite institution that I am very proud to be in . I have mustered enough courage to go for higher grounds , and I have that taken that one important bold step in life not everyone would attempt to go for .

Finally I am in a place where I am proud to be . I am in a school where there are many others like me , we share the same views , same arty-farty thinking and we all LOVE what we are doing .

I relish the challenge and I have the desire to be the top of the crop . I have gained valuable life lessons as well as insights in the fashion industry from my short yet fruitful stint in one of Singapore’s biggest fashion retailing company .

And I am ready for the forthcoming challenges .

My diploma course will take around 3 years to complete , and after National Service , it is compulsory that I’ll complete my degree in … PARIS ! Muehehe ! The fashion capital of the world , and the bestest bestest place to live in . I’ve been there when I was 5 , and the image of the sexy Eiffel Towel’s still etched in my very mind .

It will be a very very tough road ahead , one that will put my spirit and determination to test . But I will not falter , I have no other option but to soldier through the obstacles , and repay the faith and the second chance I owe to everyone who believed in me .

But in the meantime , I will be dead busy polishing my portfolio to take on a different route . I will be busting my ass working off a magical folio for my future interview for Parson’s The New School For Design , which is based in New York : ))

And if you guys didn’t know , Parson’s churned out quite a handful of world-class designers and it’s the place where the designers work their magic in Project Runway .

I’ve definitely carved out my aspirations , and I am definitely bent on doing what I wanna do , and what I am born to do .

I will soldier forward .

A friend of mine once asked me , ” What you intend to do when you are older ? “

Years back , I’d answer bashfully , with obvious uncertainty ” Umm , never thought about it ” .

And she’d go , ” You should think about your future . “

And now . I finally have .

I’ll soldier forward . I will .
